Life on Mars

I expected that.

That's not to say that I'm in the least bit disappointed, but I was expecting it. It's got more than a little bit of a Neverwhere about it, and that's no bad thing. It plays to the genre trope, and is very well executed, especially the meeting. The hero has returned, but his old life's a pale reflection of the one he's been trying to escape. Fuck it. Time to do something dramatic and pick up where he left off in the real world, even if the real world is fake. Rock.

Nah. I had a flick and it's a hollow adaptation of the real thing.
