Fuck Yes

The Top Gear Polar Special is worth the TV tax alone.

Two overweight, unfit, middle-aged motoring journalists race their younger, fitter co-host across the arctic ice. The Hamster (as the younger one is known) had a dog sled. The other two had a Toyota Hilux, and quite a lot of gin. They raced to the North Pole.

Fucking genius, it is.

I cought the end of that. Shame it looked fun. I was turning over to watch Heroes. Which is ok I suppose. It's yet to seriously impress me.

See if Spud can find a place where it's available for him TO RENT.

Heroes grabbed me by the balls and didn't let go. But this may be because I'm a nutcase for capes.

Spud saw episode 2 and I filled him in on episode one.

Maybe I've been watching too much british sci fi at the moment but I'm finding the first two episodes amusing rather than thriling. I'm willing to give it a good chance though. I've heard from well respected scources that it's worth sticking with!

It was as good as a non-Moffat Who. What other British SF can you compare it to? Torchwood? *snigger*

And then there's this.

I believe I may have blogged about that when it aired back in April-time...
